You see when I was two years old I was diagnosed with a disease called Spinal Muscular Atrophy type 2. (SMA) it was at that same age where doctors told me I wasn't going to make it past the age of Ten. But by a miracle and good care I was able to make it to the age I’m at now.

Approximately 30 years ago, a teenage boy was enjoying an afternoon of mountain biking in the mountainous interior of British Columbia, Canada. An unforeseen root, or other object, caused him to be thrown from his bike, rendering him a quadriplegic.
